Why pole readiness matters
Aerial fiber deployment can depend on pole ownership, available attachment space, make-ready requirements, engineering measurements, and documented authorization. Missing evidence should not be treated as proof of approval.
LINK's current approach
The LINK prototype classifies pole records into action categories such as engineering/make-ready review, new pole or replacement review, and pending engineering verification. It also produces follow-up summaries and mapped pole intelligence where coordinates are available.
Typical information requested
- Pole identifiers and coordinates
- Ownership and utility information
- Engineering observations and measurements
- Make-ready status and documented approvals
- Supporting photographs or inspection records
LINK does not certify poles as attachment-ready without adequate documented approval evidence.
